Sick or injured? Here’s how to protect your streak

Moving every day doesn’t mean moving through a fever or a sprained ankle. When to rest and how to come back.

A daily habit is only useful if it lasts for years. Pushing through illness or pain is the fastest way to end it, either because you get worse or because you start to dread the whole thing.

When to take the day

  • Fever, chest symptoms or anything that makes you feel worse when you stand up.
  • Pain that changes how you walk or move.
  • A doctor or physio told you to rest.

On those days, rest. In UNSKIP you mark the day as sick or injured. It’s excused, the reminders stop and your streak holds.

Coming back

Start with a gentle walk and see how you feel afterwards, not during. If you’re fine the next morning, do a little more. If you’re not, take another day. The streak waits for you.

This article isn’t medical advice. If you’re unsure whether to move, ask a professional.
